Image Watermarks - Show the love

Facebook and Twitter have blown up to the point where sometimes it may feel that they are taking over the world. They each allow us to keep in touch with friends and family, worldwide. Finally we have a way to share pictures without constantly receiving that ‘over attachment limit’ message so often received when attempting to send pictures via email.

Many photographers add their watermark to images that they give you for online display. Before cropping out that watermark, realize that not only is it illegal but you are also hurting your photographer. Watermarks are not only a viable way to control image stealing, but also a main means of advertising. If you’re sharing your professional pictures online, you likely loved your photographer – so why not share it with everyone you know?

Someone always knows someone that is looking for a photographer, and that watermark or image credit serves as a great referral! Lulu posted her pictures, excited to share her first professional photo shoot that she’d ever had. She had no idea that a friend of hers had been searching for a photographer for an upcoming event. By mentioning Frozen Moments on her upload, her friend was able view the website for a company that she knew was reputable.

So next time you upload your awesome new professional pictures, think about how someone you know would love an experience just as awesome as yours.

FARMER'S MARKET WEDDING

About a week ago we decided to do some hands on research for one of our photo shoots. The photo shoot will be inspired by a "local" farmer's market. Everything from the from the reception decoration to the favors will be from a farmer's market. Most people have a farmer's market within 20miles of them. Luckily for us, we live near Lancaster County (Amish country/Dutch country). So, naturally, we were very exited about going to our local farmer's markets for inspiration and to test out the yummy treats.  There is so much fresh produce, meat, baked goods, crafts, candy, nuts and the list goes on and on.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

What are your plans? Family picnic? Vacation? A wedding?

There's so many fun things to do and so many things to be thankful for.

Jason and I are on vacation to the Jersey Shore (between Cape May and Wildwood) with my parents. We are excited to see fireworks, craft shows, walk the boardwalk, lay out on the beach, boat rides, good food, and more! More importantly we remember why we have the freedom we love.

Thank you to those who sacrificed their lives, their families, and their possessions so long ago.

Thank you to those who continue the sacrifice to keep our country free.

FOODIE FOR A DAY - YUMMY:)

A few weeks ago Jason and I decided to be foodies for a day. The results..........getting to eat some great food! Food carts/trucks/trailers are so popular with weddings and other events right now. We had to try it out for ourselves. We stopped by a local college campus with two streets of about eight different food trucks. There was such a selection of food, from cupcakes and tacos to chili dogs and breakfast sandwiches. Not only did the food taste good, it wasn't expensive at all! So, if your planning a wedding, or any events really, and want to do something nontraditional check out local food trucks in your area. Give yourself a pass for extra calories (after all it is research!). You'll be glad you did!

Our Real Wedding - June 21st, 2008 - Happy Anniversary!!

Hi everyone! It's Heather, Editor in Chief, of it's about details. Since today is our 3 year anniversary, I wanted to share our real wedding with you guys. It was the best day of our lives. In front of God, family, and our friends we became husband and wife. I must admit the budget more than doubled when it was all said and done. We were lucky enough to have my parents financially contribute more than 1/2 of our total wedding cost. I can't thank them enough for giving us our dream wedding!

The weather was perfect that day. We were worried, because it had been 96+ degrees the final weeks leading up to the wedding day and the church did not have AC! But luckily it was comfy in the 80's with no humidity and the old stone church was nice also the perfect temperature inside.

Leading up to the wedding there was lots and lots and lots of drama. Almost EVERYTHING that could go wrong did, from intense family issues to finding out they didn't have enough linens just days before the wedding. We also had to find a new baker just days before the wedding. Even with all the drama, it was a great and wonderful day because I truly did marry my best friend.

We weren't huge DIYers, but we did do some to help keep costs down. We did all of our Stationery ourselves and with the help of my mom. With other DIY projects we had no choice, because we were told just days before the wedding that the baker didn't have the hangings crystals we planned on having on the cake from the beginning. Thus, they couldn't do our cake period. We, along with my mom, handmade all of the hanging crystals. We made them with real swarovski crystals. I must say they were so beautiful and the sparkle was amazing.

Overall, our wedding was so much fun! The dance floor was full, the drinks were flowing, and music was great. We didn't have a grand exit, because we wanted to dance the entire night away with our family and friends until the very last minute!
